I Heart Pom-Poms!

I LOVE the retro-ness of a pom-pom;  the same way I do with ric-rac! (Another post...).
Just before Christmas I made some pom-pom collars, which I called 'Carnival Collars'.  They have a slight Mexicana/Frida look to them, and are really fun looking on!  I think you are either a pom-pom person or not!  Are you...?

'Samantha Stas?'. 'Present...'

I have been woefully absent for the last month or so.  But here I am looking forward to the year ahead.  I hope you are too...

Ding-dong..... Yay, postman!  Some very nice deliveries; thank you very much.
The latest edition of Mollie Makes, (look out for next months, as I have supplied the free cover gift), and two editions of the total-style-porn, Paumes design  books  www.paumes.com . One on Marimekko designers and the other, Nordic Deco Ideas.   Ohh, I almost can't wait until bed time......

Gathered by Mollie Makes

I really enjoy working with the lovely people from Mollie Makes magazine; I have contributed to a handful of commissions now.  Here is a take-away coffee cup cosy!! (Not sure I would use one myself, but hey-ho...)

Getting Personal!

I am continuing to make custom orders for people.  Here are some orders I have made in the past two days...

Retro Christmas Baubles for Mollie Makes

The December issue of Mollie Makes has some lovely projects and inspiring ideas; including a 'how to' make by myself.  Have already met a couple of people who said they are making some up!  Thanks...

Custom Couple

Some lovely friends of ours celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary a few weeks agoI thought they might appreciate a 'Dolly Box' of the two of them.  I also printed their three boys names around the edge; and made their little hands with velcro attached, so they can hold hands (or not!)

Mr Dolly Box

I will be making more 'boy' dollies in a box.  It's only fair is n't it; why should the girls get all the fun...!  I think he could be called Frank, and I think he might like Lindy Hopping in his spare time.
